We have received the advice from Lama Zopa Rinpoche to have a statue of Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) on our altar. We have found a statue that we like. Once we purchase it, it will be painted and partly gold-plated. The statue is one meter high and will be ordered from Nepal. Cost is : 4400€. Who is Padmasambhava?
Padmasambhava came to Tibet from India in the 8th century and helped establish a pure lineage which is still practiced today by all four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism around the world. Padmasambhava has said that when he no longer abides in Tibet, his statues will become like lights that dispel the darkness of ignorance.
